As the mobile internet creates new costumer experiences and changes the world of mobile entertainment, T-Mobile also redefines its position as an operator. In his presentation, Bodo Hubl from T-Mobile International lays out where the company is heading in the next 12 months: „T-zones is yesterday – the next step for us is web'n'walk widgets which bring the same costumer experience as the Apple iPhone or Google’s g1. We will deploy the web'n'walk proposition to many devices and operating systems in the future. Furthermore, we want to add the long tail to web'n'walk and provide SDK for the open internet community by the end of 2009.“
With respect to the high demand for Multiplayer Games in the future, T-Mobile will create an open development environment for the entertainment segment called Adaptive Mobile Gaming SDK: „We are willing to enter the market of browser games and are looking for more than just Java Games that we are having today“ says Bodo.
To wrap up his presentation, Bodo uses the following key messages: T-Mobile is willing to open up to third parties even more today than they were ever before. With regard to mobile entertainment, widgets create new opportunities and are able to support new initiatives. In terms of mobile phones, T-Mobile’s web'n'walk widget platform will be creating the best user experience in the future.
