widgets or buttons for viral effects are the most effective marketing tools ever, adwords scaling the fastest, afilliate programs also good etc. PR never really worked for him...
Big coops like having an integration on the tkom-site for webnews.de didn't bring any huge traffic at all, it's always over estimated.
