Cedric Giorgi – Goojet: Really addictive @ Le Mobile 2.0

Cedric Giorgi is marketing manager at mobile web company Goojet.com: „We developed a mobile application where you can select different services and put together widgets to create your own mobile portal. It becomes a media because all the widgets you have selected give you notifications...There’s also a newsfeed in the application so you can be sure it’s your mobile portal. Part of it is like a Facebook for mobile with people you meet in Goojet. The other part is a little bit like Netvibes for mobile.“ The Toulouse- and Paris-based French startup launched a public beta in June 2008 and will start to get some money in one or two months. On top of that, Goojet generates traffic for partners: „There are all kinds of mobile websites available from Goojet“ explains Cedric and adds „we also create mobile marketing campaigns for brands using Goojet applications and provide an environment where brands can create a small application.“ Cedric finds Goojet „really addictive, because in Goojet you have everything. All the mobile web and much more is available and prehanded for Blackberry and iPhone.“ Goojet’s founders and investors want to reach as many as one million users in 2010 and definitely want to go international by then: „It’s in the gene of Goojet“ says Cedric. For now, they’ll explore Spain and Italy. Cedric points out: „These are very interesting markets for us – people love to communicate and want to have lots of social tools on their mobiles.“ More interviews from Le Mobile 2.0 will follow in the days to come @ www.tiburon-tv.com
