Every year millions of Euro are spent for tutoring school kids. An interesting market for promising business ideas. Andreas Spading and Stephan Bayer saw that opportunity, so they developed the idea of Sofatutor.com, a virtual tutoring system with user generated videos. In the interview they explain their business model and how they plan to share their revenues with the video producers. Scheduling and choice making can be so easy, if yes only if you use a tool like doodle.com offers. It is apparently one of the easiest to use on the market right now. So no surprise at all that the Swiss startup has huge success, for example being the most popular German facebook application. The interview with Tilman Eberle was shot at the Web 2.0 Expo Europe 2008 in Berlin.
The tourism market is big and promising, that is why there are so many startups trying to improve your traveling experience. One more is Finland based tripsay.com founded by Leo Koivulehto. But be sure as it is not like others. Of course you can share your travel experiences with your friends, but what makes tripsay special is the matching. They match you with travelers who are like you and which taste overlaps with yours. So you can be sure to receive many travel recommendations which you really will like. Just try it out!
Tariq Krim the founder of netvibes shares his lessons learned from being an entrepreneur. He just left netvibes for being able to realize new projects and ideas. And he is also involved in a new French seed fund, so if you have a great idea and are looking for funding, get in touch with Tariq!
Zemanta.com offers a very promising browser based tool for bloggers to help them to enrich their content. I've tried it after the interview at the picnic conference a few weeks ago and I like it a lot, but I see also space for improvements which are necessary to really make it an indispensable application. Lucky me that I met Andraz Tori, co-founder of Zemanta, at the facebook developer garage in Berlin. So I could ask him about all it.
On mobypicture.com you can upload your mobile photos to all you blogs and social communities by one click only. Mathys came to Berlin together with Arne Hulstein and Erno Hannink in their "pitch car". You do not know what a "pitch car" is? Check out the video with Arne and Erno!
